I'm working on trying to paint some peacocks on an Altiods tin I'm working on at the moment, so I have peacocks on the brain. I love them. Anyway, this was just a little something to relieve some of that obsession.
My last two sets of nails were very bold and dynamic (bright blue with fireworks and flags for the 4th of July, and shiny black with diamond shaped rhinestones and silver swirls for a friend's wedding), so I wanted something a little more toned down and simple. But I can't just have plain nails (*GASP* THE HORROR!
), so the peacock was added. He was actually very quick and easy to do, but required a LOT of tiny tiny detail work, so I knew that I wasn't going to be able to pull that off painting with my off hand, so my right hand just got a *very ugly* peacock feather instead of the whole beautiful bird. I have named him Petey. Petey the Peacock. Petey is a pretty perty peacock.
(Sorry, it's pretty late here and I'm a bit punch drunk.)
